Mask packaging has quietly become a branding exercise. The pouch is the first physical touchpoint, and buyers are treating it accordingly.

Formats gaining ground
- Zip pouches — 7- and 10-piece packs with Japanese zippers and laser tear notches, popular in Korea and Japan.
- Two-chamber pouches — separate actives from the sheet until use, for freshness claims.
- Three-side seal — still the workhorse, now with up to 10-colour printing and kraft-paper aluminium options.
Finishing that sells
Matte lamination, soft-touch film, spot UV and hot stamping are increasingly specified at mid-market price points, not just luxury. The cost delta is small relative to the perceived upgrade.
Sustainability pressure
Mono-material pouches and recycled aluminium are the two requests we see most. Both are available, but lead times are longer — plan them into the development calendar rather than switching at the last minute.
